Open House during Interpack

Reifenhäuser has held an Open House event during the Interpack Trade fair in Düsseldorf (May 4th-10th 2017).

The Open House was in Troisdorf, a small distance from the trade fair, and was attended by over 100 visitors from 27 countries.

Economical blown film technology, production efficiency, and latest developments and process solutions to improve film properties and process stability were the focuses.

Ralf Pampus, Sales Director at Reifenhäuser Blown Film, said: "Our customers from the packaging industry invest in production efficiency and quality. Viewing lines in operation, observing live how products are run with what results while entering in dialog with Reifenhäuser experts is a clear benefit.”

Biomaterials were a significant focus of the event.

Eugen Friedel, Senior Sales Manager at Reifenhäuser Blown Film, said: "Biomaterials are not just a trend anymore, but are establishing themselves in many fields of applications.”

One of the main features of the event was the EVO line generation which produced different biofilms using raw materials.

The bioplastic GuiltfreePlastics from United Biopolymers was processed by the EVO Ultra Stretch Reifenhäuser.

GuiltfreePlastics are made out of up to 90 per cent renewable resources, and are 100 per cent recyclable and biodegradable.

The materials can be stretched by a ratio of 6:1 with ECO Ultra Stretch.
